This cake was for my Polish colleagues Fiance… I believe the wording means “May you live to 100 years”
A vanilla madeira cake filled with madagascan vanilla Italian Meringue Buttercream, covered in dark chocolate ganache and covered with fondant in an attempt to obtain sharp edges.
Thanks to The White Box Cake Co. for the ganache recipe and a fab tutorial on the upside down technique of ganaching. Big thanks also to Jessicakes Blog for her fondant transfer technique which I used to do the stripes. More practice needed I think!.
