I was asked to make a cake for Cake Central Magazine’s Fashion issue. This is what I came up with. She is sculpted from modeling chocolate. Her pink and gold beaded gown is modeling chocolate with gourmet sugar crystals for the beads. Her shawl and bottom lace ruffle of her gown are gum paste. The base cake is fondant with antique hand-tatted lace pattern pressed into the fondant. All other decorations are fondant and gum paste.
