This is a vanilla sponge cake I made for my daughter, a Debbie Brown creation…she loved it, but had no idea it was a real cake!! There was tears when I cut into it :-/

This s gorgeous. I’ve seen the cake in the book & you’ve done Debbie proud. It’s fantastic. Did you colour the fondant for the frills or tint it afterwards?

Thank you Bobbi xx I coloured the fondant first with dusky pink, then kept gradually adding white fondant, so colour gradually changed. I added an extra layer of cake…which I wished I hadn’t as the frills were very time consuming…but it was worth it xx I luv Debbie Browns cakes…they r easy to follow…I’m just a novice and was terrified of getting it wrong, but she came out ok in the end (my little girl loved it, which was the main thing) xx
