The first photo is of the buttercream covered cake with the “ocean” technique. I love this cake before I added the “kiddy” elements to the top. This cake went for auction at a local school so I needed it to look more kid-friendly! The second shot is of the top of the completed cake just before it went to auction. Since we are in Kodiak, the cake featured the beloved whale and elements of the pier with gulls. Cake was dark chocolate bourbon cake with dark chocolate ganache and mocha swiss meringue buttercream.

It’s beautiful! I love it! Especially since i live so close to the ocean, i could throw a rock and hit it! Nice work!
