A friend asked me to make a cake for her friend turning 30. She has a love for all things Designer, especially high heels. So I created this cake to look like a shoe display. Lots of hours on this cake as they were the first platform and funky high heels I’d ever made. Stressful and fun at the same time!

That must have been great fun to make! All those different styles of shoes! I’ve only made one stiletto pump out of gumpaste and can’t wait ‘til I have the chance to do it again! You did a great job on yours!!!!

@kgoodpasture…and the rest of you thanks. I did have fun making this. I did stress a little trying to get the heels as close to the real thing as possiible. All in all, I think I did a good job for my first attempt. Looking forward to another opportunity to try something like this again. Practice makes perfect…
