Half Way Round the World

This is a wedding cake I made last week for a couple who came all the way from Glasgow (Scotland) to get married here in Auckland on Waiheke (pronounced why-heck-e) Island! They did not tell their families they were getting married while they were over here, so are sending the entire bottom tier back to Glasgow to appease their families! The cake was organised by a friend of theirs and was a surprise for them! I’m told they loved it! The flowers are a very (unreal) artistic impression of a Scottish Thistle and New Zealand native Pohutukawa :)
