This was a present for my sister for Christmas .She is absolutely obsessed with owls and has a house full of them ( our maiden name means owl in Polish) I had been waiting for an opportunity to do an owl cake for some time so I was very excited to be finally doing it. the owls are made in Gum paste and the cake is a rich fruit cake. It is all edible. The blue tint for the sky was air brushed onto the cake then when dry I painted lots of little white dots on for a snow effect. The owls represent my sister and her family . x
