This was my first attempt at making a handbag cake. I made this cake for my son’s fabulous class teacher Mrs MG as a end of year THANK YOU gift last year (Dec 2012) She loved it so much that she said she would not want to cut the cake :-) She is the best teacher and deserves a very special gift. I didn’t even know pink is her favourite colour!

Sorry I didn’t see your message until now. Oh, that’s so sweet of you, thank you. I bought Elisa Strauss’ craftsy handbag tutorial and it really helped me a lot. I had a great time making this cake and was very pleased that it turned out well and most importantly, my son’s teacher LOVED the cake. I still don’t know if she ever cut the cake.
