A cake for an avid golfer turning 50. The golf ball is also cake and the tall flags are taper candles and paper. The sand trap is filled with graham cracker crumbs and the pool is tinted homemade piping gel. The argyle pattern is probably the most time-consuming decoration I’ve ever done! Thanks to jylbug whose idea I stole (with permission) and did not do justice to!

Beautiful cake. I have a friend who is 60 this year & a golfing fanatic so may indeed try something like this for him (obviously it won’t look perfect like yours does).
-- Just a hobby baker but love seeing other people's work & aspire to creating something as beautiful one day.
