Cake made for a good friends’ little guy turning one! I loved making this, but ooh that fondant gave me fits! (obviously, if you’ll look at the un-smoothness lol!) This was my attempt at replicating a design by Andrea’s Sweet Cakes – hers is TONS better! Bottom tier was vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream filling, top tier was chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream filling, both covered in fondant. The crown was gum paste, painted with gold airbrush paint (Americolor). The “fur” was white fondant with black dots of gel paste color painted on (that part I WAS happy with!)

Thanks! It’s one of my older ones I’ve just gotten around to posting! I loved the design and had such high hopes for it, but that doggone fondant and I just did NOT see eye to eye that day!!
