Gem Mining Cake

This was a last minute request by a friend for her son Noah’s birthday. Fondant wood-grained ‘box’ with vanilla cake and buttercream ‘water.’ The rocks were Cocoa Krispie Treats dipped in colored sugar, an effect I loved. I was very happy with the wood-grain fondant.
