My second to the last cake project for 2012 and my last wedding cake project for 2012…:-)
Frosting is made of whipped cream (powdered icing plus cold fresh milk mixed together). The flowers are made of gumpaste which took me two days to make, a beginner’s way. But I did enjoy doing it.
Cake is made of creamy chocolate cake, mocha chiffon and lemon chiffon. Don’t be deceived with the smooth finish…it is no fondant but just whipped cream frosting. This calls for lots of patience in working on the frosting to attain that almost fondant-look finish… hard work really :-)
There’s a noticeable dent on the lowest layer which i accidentally touched while packing it for delivery to wedding venue…This icing once touched is almost beyond repair already. :(
