Cigar Box Cake for cigar shop owner

We live in Cigar City (Ybor City, Tampa, FL) so it was very exciting to get a request for a cigar box cake.
The birthday girl is one of the owners of Long Ash Cigar shop in Ybor City, Tampa, FL and there were quite a fiew double takes as folks realized that this was NOT your typical box of cigars.

I channeled my cigar-making grand parents while hand rolling chocolate fondant over pirouette cookies.
The cake was a buttery yellow cake with a guava filling for the completely Cuban experience.
