Black Cattlyea Orchid and Gilded Black Lace

Gilded black gumpaste cattleya and lace applique. The cake was a marbled dark chocolate/red velvet with a vanilla buttercream and a ganache undercoat.

I didn’t use Sugarveil… I’ve been wanting to get a starter set and work with it though, love the cakes I’ve seen with it! I used a silicon mold from First Impressions. I love their molds and the quality is unrivaled.
