I finally had to try the “rose frosting” technique – It was amazingly easy – my next attempt will be much better because this time I ran out of frosting to fill in all the gaps. This cake is staying home home so it isn’t as neat as it would have been had it gone to a client. This will definitely be my “go to” frosting technique when I’m pressed for time and want beautiful results.

Thank you, Michal – I know it’s not as neat as it should be, but I was just messing around with the technique – I’ll be making a “real” one soon – will post a picture – :)))
