I was asked to make some dummy cakes for a Christmas window display for a lovely little giftshop in Lutterworth recently.
The owner of the shop wanted them for the best dressed window competition which is judged on the night that the Christmas lights are switched on. I think that’s the 30th November.
I created two “stories” of cakes with four cakes in each “story”.
This selection is inspired by The Nutcracker…...Christmas for me wouldn’t be Christmas without this wonderful Ballet. The story and the music are to me every bit as important as the Coco cola advert.
Once I’ve seen them then Christmas is on it’s way.

I adore The Nutcracker too Karen! Your little cakes really capture the story. I love them, and all of the details you put into them!!
