This cake was a real challenge but I was vey happy with the result. I wasn’t sure about how I would use sugarpaste to make a standing dragon as it would be quite difficult to support. Therefore I decided to use the rock as a support. The rock the dragon is on is a piece of carved polystyrene covered in sugarpaste. I made the egg shell by rolling flower paste really thin and lining a ramekin. It took a bit of time to work the flower paste to eliminate any folds/creases etc but I got there in the end.
