A panicked friend rang on thursday night – her daughter was 18 at the weekend and in the chaos of trying to organise a celebration, she’d forgotten all about a cake. Could I step into the breech and help?
The Brief: The birthday girl is a ‘girly girl’, loves sparkle, pink, roses and chocolate.
My Idea: Giant chocolate cupcake with layers of Galaxy buttercream on the inside. Outside covered with two-tone buttercream; Cadbury white chocolate fingers as a base covering-some painted pink to fit in with the theme. Hand-crafted roses to cover the top and finally a flourish of sparkly glitter.
