One day, my 2nd cousin asked me if I can make one of her orders for her. She didn’t notice that she had a wedding cake needed to be finished on the same day as the other cake. Seeing my previous posts on facebook, she somehow gained confidence in my skill as a novice baker and cake decorator. I didn’t want to let her down so I accepted the offer without hesitation. I wanted to challenge myself again. This time, lots of tsum tsum toppers on a cake. Making the 3D tsum tsum toppers were so taxing that it took about 14 straight hours to make. Good thing I prepared my colored fondants ahead of time. I was so happy to see the result of another 2 sleepless nights. I thought I couldn’t survive making this cake since there were lots of details (no wonder she passed this cake on to me LOL XD). I showed her the photo right after I finished decorating it in the morning and she was like “Wow bro!!! You nailed it!!! Yours looked like the original and I couldn’t tell which one is which. Was that the sample photo I gave you or the other one?” That simple comment made me smile. It really felt good when another baker appreciates your craft. It takes away all the stress. I thank her for always believing in my abilities.
