This was for my nephew’s after wedding celebration. I had a friend over to give me a hand on this and we spend hours trying to get the pearlized white cake lace to come out with a nice finish. I like the pearlized because they are ready mixed & I wanted it to stand out. I finally decided it was time to mix up a plain white batch and when I went to get it out, I found purple pearlized which was the bride’s colors. Put that on and voila! It came out correctly. I must have had a bad batch. My friend noticed that it was much thicker than the purple. I baked it at around 200 degrees because I had a problem with one mat with gold cake lace that wasn’t baking right. I had given up on that mat and couldn’t get it out so I cranked up the oven for that & it popped right out. I’m glad it turned out but didn’t like spending all that time on making the lace. It’s usually quite quick. The pearlized ones come out drier so I don’t make them ahead. The white you can make ahead. I have some probably over a year old. Thanks for listening lol.
