Hats Off: A Royal Affair collaboration organized by Around The World In Sugar group.

This design is based a variety of traditional style Chinese wedding headdresses that originated with ancient royalty called the Fengguan or “Phoenix crown. The blue color was traditionally created by using inlaid kingfisher feathers. The bright blue used against the red of the traditional Chinese wedding dress create a bold contrast. The headless itself is made of hand cut and painted flowers, butterflies and wings.
