literally meaning that A Beautiful Object has no value unless someone is there to appreciate & value it for what it really is!

Known also as the valley of flowers, this land of the Nargis, Daffodils and Zafran (saffron known for its freshness & purity) is like a slowly maturing romance… gradually intoxicating the senses, and igniting desires to explore the treasure trove of intricate and exquisite artwork, workmanship and scenic beauty.
Traditional Craftsmanship is best represented by the handicrafts on walnut wood (hard and durable) with inbuilt grain & texture facilitating very fine, intricate & detailed workmanship.
Family owned and traditional workmanship is also the bedrock of Shawls, especially the Pashmina shawls which are handwoven from the raw material (Himalayan goat hair) employing traditional ancient techniques of embroidery and looms perfected over centuries!
Paisley designs resonate in everyday walk life as motifs & in the architecture found aross the state.
Paper Machie – use of layers of paper pulp to create intricate, colourful designs is testimony to the magical craftsmanship & artistic expression of the local artists.
