My inspiration was the movie White Christmas – really my favorite all time movie for the holidays. Specifically, it was a beautiful dress worn by Rosemary Clooney (I have attached a picture with the dress) in one of her best singing numbers. It is simple, but I was inspired by the simplicity of the black dress, the diamonds and the pink curtains in the background. I created molds for the construction of the topper and poured the sugar for those, pulled the pink flowers and did a combination of gem molds and pulling and dripping isomalt for the swirls that were to mimic the brooch and earrings.
