I have been entralled by Japanese myths and geishas that it was a dream come true for me to be able to finally make a geisha ningyo in sugar (fondant and gumpaste). It was also my first time to finally make a life size bust piece, her tail is in place of the “Uchiwa”, japanese folded paper fan is made from wafer paper … Meet “Juero”, the Geisha Mermaid…
