African Wedding

This traditional South African Wedding cake was made for the MOST beautiful couple.
The African Hut (Kraal) is a blessing a shelter for a larger strong family.
The cast iron pot (potjie or Putu pot) is a blessing of abundant food and the Mortar and Pestle (mielie stomp) blesses the couple with good harvests.

Oh my goodness me!!! How beautiful is this!! Totally capturing South Africa, my home for 27 years!! I sure miss the social fun and delicious fun we had with potjie, and the detailing in the hut is ace!! Pestle and mortar as well .. amazing!!! I bet this went down a storm at the wedding!! 😍😍😍
