Hi everyone, I’m so incredibly happy and honored to have been a part of this amazing project. Humble thanks to Zawadi Parizek and Rebekah Naomi Wilbur for this incredible opportunity, I’m still in disbelief I was able to participate along such outstanding artists!
It’s the first time I’m trying out some more dynamic positions for my figurines and I have to say it has not been a straight forward experience… but totally worth the struggle in the end. Also it’s my first big project completely hand painted, I really enjoyed it.
As always, photo credits go to my hubby who did his absolute best with this one.
Below I’ll post a short description of my piece, I hope you’ll like it.
Thank you for looking, happy baking to all <3

My creation for this project is, I suppose, just like me, a mix of old experiences and new discoveries.
The main inspiration comes from my childhood when summer meant outdoor living, camping, hiking and no electricity. I love modelling small figurines so I chose to portray a family having some fun in the sun. I tried to build a little story around it adding different face expressions for a more realistic feel and painted landscapes as they were my favorite as a child. Finally, I decided to give it an American touch as a tribute to this amazing nation that we (I and my husband) completely fell in love with while living for an year in a beautiful Chicago suburb, back in 2012. This was without any doubt the best time of our lives that touched us in a way no other living experience has. We were fascinated by the people’s kindness, their multicultural harmony, curiosity and genuine friendship. Also we got totally an irreversibly conquered by the american sports enthusiasm and their love of outdoor activities. A larger than life experience in the most welcoming country we’ve lived!
