Duck Hunting

1/2 sheet iced in creamcheese icing. lettering and decorations in MMF. I made the dawn sky colors by first icing the whole cake and then taking little blobs of colored icing and kinda smearing the different colors on with a spatula, (looked like a huge mess!) and then I took a flat sided scraper and gently smoothed the colors out going from the inside of the yellow part radiating outward and then going the opposite direction and then I smoothed all out flat with a viva.

what an amazing cake! How did you get the details on the lab? are the different colors on the dog drawn on? or are each of the ‘shadows’ different pieces of fondant? It’s a beautiful cake!
