here’s my cake for the San Antonio cake show! 😁 I figure I should give y’all the back story, the theme was “royal” and I went through so many ideas until I decided on doing something a little different. I’m Ecuadorian and my grandpa was an amazing artist, I loved to watch him paint, he always encouraged me to be artistic and we always had his paintings of beautiful Ecuadorian sceneries and people in traditional clothes in our house growing up, it’s because of him that I’ve always loved doing art, so i decided as kind of a tribute to him I wanted to make my cake an Inca Empress loosely based on Paccha Duchicela with her hand up because she is worshipping the sun. It was a cool experience for me to get to research a little bit of Ecuador’s ancient history and even though I didn’t get to do everything I wanted to, or make her as neat as I would have liked to if I didn’t start it so so late, I am so happy that I did it. It was a great growing experience and I had the best time at the show! I won second place too🥈, which is extra sweet because honestly I had reallly low expectations of her by about Thursday and I didn’t think I would even place!! It was a really great weekend!
