I made this cake for my friends 50th birthday. I was given free rein to design a cake for her and the only requirement was that it had a hairdressing theme. This was my first attempt at a bust cake, learnt lots from it. The head is part polystyrene and the hair tin foil ( so its lightweight) then covered in fondant. The body is chocolate sponge. The hairdryer and straighteners are rice krispy treats. I really enjoyed creating this and she had lots of attention at the party :) . Thanks for looking :) xx
