I was so honored to be part of this amazing collaboration that is dear to my heart. A collaboration about the awareness of Autism which highlights their fantastic creativity they bring to the art world.
My cake is a mix of inspirations, the hand painted top tier, I copied from my daughter’s pictures. She is autistic and has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder for just over a year now. She loves to draw and paint. I used her pictures as inspiration. I hand painted using edible dusts diluted with vodka. The bottom tier I copied a painting from the very talented artist Stephanie Tihanyi, who has Asperger’s syndrome. Her painting I chose is called “Neurodiverse Tree of Life” Like all her paintings to me it is a very striking piece of art, I loved it. For my hand painted bottom tier I used cocoa butter and edible dusts.
