Hi everyone!
Yesterday was the International Day of Sports for Development and Peace. And I created this cake to represent the collaboration Sport Cakes for Peace.
This cake was my way of representing the theme of collaboration. With various sports on its faces and, of course, the peace dove of our logo at the top.
Somehow it was a challenge because it is a bit different from what I usually do and the gaps between the various parts of the cake presented some difficulty requiring a rigorous planning. I hope you like it.

Sport Cakes for Peace is a cake collaboration created by Elisabete Caseiro from @BetySugarland – Cake Design by Elisabete Caseiro to celebrate the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, April 6th, 2017.
On August 23 of 2013, the UN proclaimed that the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace would be celebrated April 6 every year. This day is a celebration of the power of sport to drive social change, community development and to foster peace and understanding. This date also marks the opening of the first modern Olympic Games in Athens in 1896.
This was an open collaboration and everyone who was interested could participate creating a Cake, Cookies or Sugar Piece representing this theme. At the end we were 50 cake decorators from 22 countries all over the world and we tried to cover a wide range of sports.

It was a real pleasure to coach this wonderful team!
