Welcome to “Italian Sugar Dream”, the first collaboration of Sugar Art ever made in Italy and exclusively composed by italian Artists!!!
For the very first time a group of 27 talented exponents of this sweet Art have gathered from all over Italy to entertain your eyes through their masterpieces and celebrate the Italian art, icons, symbols, music, history, trying to portrait the different areas of our Bel Paese. “Italian Sugar Dream” will take you to a journey through the heart and soul of one of the most beautiful Country in the whole world!

My contribution was to represent il “Carosello”.

3 February 1957 Carosello is born, a real TV program with sketches more or less entertaining followed by advertisements.
The effect of a law prohibiting the advertising inside transmissions, RAI (single broadcaster of that period) decided to make a break by concentrating the “reclame” but with a rigid ladder: first a minute of entertainment, whose weft should however be extraneous to the product, then a tot of seconds of advertising with quotes containing the name of the product.
In a short time Carosello became an appointment beloved by italian families and accompanied for about twenty years the evenings of adults and children.
Carosello can be considered the history of advertising but especially a piece of culture and the costume of an Italy, now completely changed, that for several aspects represented and its anniversary 60 years from starting, with its iconic characters such as Carmencita, Calimero, Man with Mustache, Susanna Whole Cream, Jo Condor, The Line and many others, have fto me the value of a time machine

ITA – ll 3 febbraio 2017 nasceva Carosello, un vero e proprio programma TV con sketch più o meno divertenti seguiti da messaggi pubblicitari.
Per effetto di una Legge che proibiva la pubblicità all’interno delle trasmissioni, la RAI (unica emittente televisiva di quel periodo) decise di fare uno stacco concentrando le “reclame” ma con una rigida scaletta: prima un minuto da dedicare all’intrattenimento, la cui trama doveva essere però estranea al prodotto, poi un tot di secondi di pubblicità con citazioni del nome del prodotto.
In poco tempo Carosello divenne appuntamento amatissimo dalla famiglie italiane ed accompagnò per circa 20 anni le serate di adulti e bambini.
Carosello può considerarsi storia della pubblicità ma soprattutto un pezzo della cultura e del costume di un’Italia, completamente cambiata, che per vari aspetti la rappresentava ed il suo anniversario a 60 anni dall’avvio, con i suoi iconici personaggi come Carmencita, Calimero, l’Omino coi Baffi, Susanna tutta Panna, Jo Condor, la Linea e molti altri, ha per me valore di una macchina del tempo.
