Flora by Botticelli

Flora by Botticelli

My work depicts Flora who embodies Spring in the painting “La Primavera” by Sandro Botticelli (1482), displayed in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. This is the masterpiece of the artist, as well as one of the most famous works of the Italian Renaissance. Its extraordinary charm that it still has on the audience is also linked to the aura of mystery that surrounds the work, whose deeper meaning is not been fully revealed yet. Techniques used: Realistic Painting, On-stroke painting, flowers and leaves in relief, embossed golden frame with the ancient technique gilding.
