Caterpillar dragonfly cake

This was for a little boy’s first birthday. With a full-size cake order, clients may add a “smoosh cake” as a side order. The photo explains the name. :)

All adornments are gum paste.

Parents appreciate the fact that there is no artificial color (or any artificial ingredients) in any part of our cakes that typically gets eaten. Although gum paste is technically edible, no one eats it. So that is where we put our color.
