This might not seem the obvious choice for a 70 year old man in the middle of winter, but honestly I couldn’t think of a better cake for my Dad :)
Lover of all things sweet, creamy and cake this ice cream sundae cake epitomises the big kid inside us all. (Of which he’s the biggest I know..)
Inspired by Shawna McGreevy’s ice cream cake, my banana split sundae is all cake, choc full of banana, pineapple, pecans, spice and cream cheese frosting. The ice cream balls are also cake and are covered in white chocolate buttercream. The whipped cream is cream cheese Swiss meringue frosting and the fruit is made from chocolate (naturally!)
