This was a cake was originally inspired by the bursts of wattle I see here in Australia and the bright fresh colours and blooms of Spring.
I love the texture and design of pressed tin so I decided to try it in the soft,minty green that I love.As I played with different elements and colours it began to turn into and entirely different beast as I pulled in more texture and colour into the 2nd and third tier with inspiration from vintage celluloid and Bakelite jewelry.I had fun playing with the oval shapes of the tiers,the shape reminding me of old jewlery boxes.
