We share with you the photos of our piece for the Animal Rights Collaboration, hosted by the grand Isabel Tamargo (Tartas Imposibles), international sugar artist. Have you already visited the gallery? 160 sugar artists from around the world have participated to give a voice to animals on Earth and create consciousness of their rights. More that a calling to attention, it is a call for action.

About our piece:
We decided to craft what is left of an illegally cut down tree and show the sad consequences on butterflies whose habitat has drastically diminished. A paper butterfly is shown with wire antennae and a message written with a blue ink pen: “Alto a la Deforestación”/“Stop Deforestation”. Explicación de nuestra pieza:
Decidimos elaborar lo que quedó de un árbol talado de manera ilegal y mostrar las tristes consecuencias sobre las mariposas cuyo hábitat ha disminuido drásticamente. Se muestra una mariposa de papel, con antenas de alambre y el texto en pluma azul “Alto a la Deforestación”/“Stop Deforestation”. Esperemos verlas siempre con sus mil colores y no como una sombra de lo que fué…
