This is my cake for the Animal Rights Collaboration, an international collaboration that Isabel Tamargo wad organized.

My piece is based on Bull.
Unfortunately, in Spain the fact of torture this noble and beautiful animal is considered a tradition and part of the celebrations of a lot of villages. One of this “celebrations” is the “Toro de la Vega”, on wich I’ve based my piece. In this “celebration” people stab the bull with spears until death…
The things are changing (fortunately) because this year has been the first in wich the people has forbidden to spear the bull and kill it in public, but we still have a lot of work ahead.

There is a campaign in which people are recorded breaking a spear as a demonstration against this “celebration.” So my piece represents this: a bull breaking a spear in favor of his freedom and his right to live without being mistreated.
Hopefully someday this will be a reality.
