I love doing Icing Smiles cakes they just make me happy knowing I can make one child’s day just a little better. Last weekend I made this cake for a little boy called Adam who wanted a Lion King themed cake for his 3rd birthday. I have never done a lion king cake before and as we all know these themes are very hard to be original with, but I think I added a new twist with adding Mufasa and Scars faces burned into the tree stump. I have also seen lots of silhouettes done with this theme but not with the moon so thought that too was a nice twist. Simba is 2D and took so much more time than I ever thought he would but totally worth every minute. I used fishing line for his whiskers and hand painted Pride rock and the silhouette scenery.
Supplies: satin ice fondant true color natural paints crystal colors
