This cake was for Cake International a couple of weeks ago, it was of famous racehorse Sprinter Sacre, who coincidentally retired from racing a week later. The cake got a bronze award at the show, and has now gone on to the stables of the real horse and will hopefully soon go on to be auctioned for charity. There are quite a few things I’d do differently now, and I almost didn’t take it to Birmingham atall a couple of days previous, but as a horse lover it was a fab subject matter to work on.

It’s stunning.
You’ve captured the way a horse moves when jumping so accurately.
I’m surprised it didn’t get higher than a bronze – I would have given it a silver at the very least.
