I finally got a chance to photograph and edit my entry for Cake International Birmingham this November. My aim was to showcase what can be achieved in wafer paper. Every feather was handcut, coloured and manipulated individually with the use of Fabriliquid and piping gel. I personally love the airy delicateness of this piece. I am very pleased to say that it was awarded Silver at the Show. It felt like it was dwarfed by all the other outstanding marvellous creations at CI, but since it is sitting here in my kitchen, I find myself smiling at it again.
