This cake and cupcakes was so much fun to do. I kept the traditional retro colors when making the cake and cupcakes. The bottom 10" round is covered in white fondant airbrushed with a white pearl sheen, and embellished with handmade blue ruffles half way up the cake. Followed by an 8" round cake airbrushed with white pearl sheen and embellished with red polka dots and a red and white polka dot ribbon and bow around the bottom. The cake is topped with a 6" round cake covered in bright. Lie rosettes with red non pareils embellishments and a red daisy on the top. Regular sized cupcakes in red and blue were displayed on retro record Cupcake stands that my husband made for me. And mini cupcakes in reds and blues were displayed on a reporpused small ferries wheel.
