This cake is for a halloween party, a young family member really wanted a brain cake for their birthday but fortunately she went with a pokemon cake. So for halloween I have made this to scare all the kids and she will be happy to see a brain cake. ew! Totally had fun making this!

Brain cake is a red sponge with strawberry buttercream and a jam filled centre. The main cake is a rich chocolate cake with strawberry buttercream, stitch detail is strawberry laces.

I tried to keep the food colourings to a min, so a lot of it is strawberry jam you can see with some black dusts.

I was so tempted to turn this into a walking dead cake with one eyeball hanging out of the skull and some tattoos on the skin saying ‘Glen + Maggie’. lol!
