Pregnant Belly- Hello Kitty

Done as a little something extra for the mother to be. She is a cake lover. The cake was such a hit, that many of the guest at the baby shower thought this was the “shower cake”. I had a proud moment that day.

Shylonda Brown ...

beautiful cake!! I have one to make in a couple of weeks for a serving of 50 ppl. I need a little advice pleWas the belly cooked in a glass bowl or did you carve it to shape?

Hi, ShoNuffSugah. Thanks for the compliment. I used the wilton soccer ball pan and a small ball pan. I bake the cake at 325 degrees. That temperature helps it too cook evenly. I also use a heating core in the middle to help it cook evenly. If you don’t have a heating core, you can use a medal flower nail by Wilton. You just grease and flour your pan, then stand the nail in the bottom middle of the pan before pouring in the batter. It works. Good luck….you do great!
