Last monday it was my mom’s birthday. Since she loves the colour combo red/white/black i have mad for her a cake in red/white/gold. For happy events we never incorporate black colour.

I have had another design in my mind but have to change it in the last minute. So i went with a very simple design due lack of time. Luckily i have finished the orchids days before using the tutorial from Olga Zaytseva. I don’t have many experiences with wafer paper flowers, but Olga’s tutorial is beautiful and really easy to follow.

Since my parents love Durian (i love it too 😁😁) i have filled the top tier with Durian buttercream. And bottom tier was filled with vanilla buttercream for family members who don’t like the stinkfruit!
