I was asked to make this cake for a young man’s 21st birthday party. He was to be having a fancy dress party with the Star Wars theme with the Millenium Falcon for the cake.
Although I had never worked on something quite so intricate, I really felt that with attention to detail I could create a suitable replica of the model I was supplied with.
After over 30 hours work, I was very pleased with the results – and so too, of course was the recipient :)
This cake was carved from a 10" chocolate cake, layered in milk chocolate ganache and covered in fondant.
