Hi my name is Sue and I have lived around aborigines most of my life. I love their music and the sounds a good didg player can make from his didgeridoo.
In Aboriginal culture the eyes of the person you are painting are left as dark shadows so that you do not take their spirit.
This piece is made from a hand painted elder overlooking a corroboree. The players are cookies. The stones and dirt are chocolate earth. The trees are modelling mud and green modelling mud leaves.

This is an awesome piece, Sue! Your “dirt” and dead leaves look so real!

Thanks Sandra Smiley. If you only knew how many trial and errors I made getting these trees and bark to look real!! My room looked like a bomb shelter!!!

This is a piece I could risk saying that represents where “music started”. Amazing creation.
