21st birthday cake for extended family…I’ still perfecting my flowers, and I enjoyed the chance to play with roses again. Still far from perfect but better than my last attempt.
As I don’t have the bubble/ball mould, the fondant balls had to be rolled, and applied, one…by…one. I think I’ll be buying themould now tho, although I do like the effect when they’re added individually.
When the balls were dry, I rolled them in a little Ivory lustre mixed with a little grey shimmer to dull it down a bit.
The purple blossom was to lift it a little, and to match the ribbon on the board.
