Lion and prairie dog afternoon tea wedding cake

This cake has been a real challenge, as the bride wanted herself and the groom depicted as a prairie dog and a lion. They also wanted the scene set around the theme of afternoon tea.

The bottom tier is a 12” round chocolate truffle with chocolate ganache buttercream and the top tier is a moist lemon cake with a lemon curd buttercream.

The whole cake weighed so much I could barely lift it.
