Another collaboration….another session of brain storming…..another chance to showcase our creativity….this time our mentors and creative directors at Polka Dots Cake Academy gave us a free hand to create what we wanted with the theme being " SITCOMS "… Most of the popular sitcom titles were taken like hot cakes and I took " Hawaii 5 O " as my theme.
When I took the theme, I was all excited with a lot of ideas flooding my thoughts. However, since I did not have a lot of time in hand and with the deadline in sight, I got down to work.
I always like to be free minded in my creations. I want my creations to mean something after I have made them. In my creation, I have tried to combine the aspect of my creativity and the theme without very heavily investing into each other.
“Why The Tortoise?”…one may ask…well…it is Hawaii….it has good beaches and a very flourishing marine life…Hawaii is also famous for being a " Surfers Paradise ".. and this aspect is aptly signified in the tier resting on the tortoise.
The other two tiers are dedicated solely to the sitcom " Hawaii 5 O ". This is a crime series and deals with the crime solving aspect in the islands of Hawaii. The collage of the lead characters make up that tier topped of with a standing round tier which holds the police badge and 05 guns symbolic to the logo and lead characters of the sitcom Hawaii 5 O.
To top it all, I have garnished it with a very classic flower decoration. The flower does not signify anything other than Beauty, Hope, Perseverance, Fragrance, Bloom and " Never say die " attitude… all Hallmarks of HAWAII, its people and the cast and crew of the sitcom "HAWAII 5 O.
